AI Powered Success on Donation Day

At the heart of every Donation Day is the celebration of charitable contributions facilitated by easyfundraising. Open Partners’ Community Management team recently began working with easyfundraising to utilise social media to magnify this celebration, reaching and engaging as many causes as possible. As ever, the key to success lay in effective community management that could not only spark but also sustain conversations around Donation Day. This quarter we faced the task of elevating these interactions to new heights, ensuring each engagement was meaningful and impactful.

This AI-assisted approach allowed for rapid responses to incoming mentions, significantly speeding up engagement times. At the same time, our team maintained a level of human quality assurance. This new AI-assisted approach yielded remarkable results. The use of the #DonationDay hashtag, incorporated in every message, achieved a trending status at number 7 in the UK, as well as staggering increases across all key metrics: net audience growth soared by 3,615%, outreach messages surged by 1,900%, engagements climbed by 325%, engagement rate improved by 231%, and impressions rose by 28%, all compared to the previous Donation Day. This new approach not only amplified the celebration of Donation Day but also helped us get easyfundraising’s brand and proposition in front of more people on social media, which is sure to lead to even more success in future.
